Legal Counsel - Privacy

We are seeking a data privacy-passionate team-player who is not afraid of exploring the unknown and wants to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Do you have a genuine interest in data privacy? Do you have experience in combining the legal aspect of GDPR with giving hands on privacy advice relating to technical, security and customer journey related aspects? What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will most definitely change as the business and world develops. But to start with, here are some things we would like you to take lead on:

  • Support the business with privacy related matters such as privacy assessments related to SEB Embedded’s current and new business and privacy initiatives.

  • Provide concrete advise in how our security, platform and insights teams can implement privacy within their fields of responsibility.

  • Work closely with the Embedded business, design and data domains to identify and consult on privacy risks and questions connected to development of new products and processes.

  • Draft and update privacy and cookie notices.

  • Carry out continuous follow-up of privacy risks relating to ongoing initiatives.

  • Participate in, and evaluate the result of, customer reviews as we all as audits.

  • Collaborate with the marketing & customer life cycles teams in developing an attractive, smooth customer experience where privacy is an embedded part.

  • Provide internal trainings and draft privacy related FAQs, guidelines and handbooks.

We are looking for someone that can identify with the majority of the following:

  • 1-3 years of experience working with legal matters related mainly to GDPR and Privacy. Experience at a Swedish law firm, authorities and/or experience related to the financial sector is a plus.

  • Team player with the mindset of being part of the Embedded journey where you enjoy that no day is like the other.

  • Detailed oriented with great skills in administration is a must.

  • Ability to work independently and also contribute successfully to cross-functional teams with an ability to manage multiple projects at once.

  • Must be able to provide hands on, risk based advice that the business can apply in practice

  • Thrive to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment where you see every day as a possibility to explore and develop your skills.

  • Technical and security related experience is a huge plus as GDPR is not all about the law.
