General information
SEB Embedded is part of Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (publ.), 502032-9081, and processes your personal data when you apply for vacant positions with us. Depending on what position you apply for, from where you have your education and previous work experience, we will process different information about you.
This privacy policy concerns personal data which SEB obtains from you and/or from other third parties (such as assessment tools and recruitment sites) when applying for a position at SEB Embedded. We collect data and process data when you:
- Apply to a position at SEB Embedded (either directly by contacting us or through Teamtailor, LinkedIn or any other third party); and
- Sign up to SEB Embedded’s talent pool.

- Personal identifiers - E.g., name and personal identity number (if you have included it in your application).
- Contact information - E.g., address, telephone number.
- Employment information - E.g., current employer, occupation.
- Education information - E.g., degree, certifications

Directly from you
Most of the data we process about you we receive directly from you, i.e., information you insert into our recruitment portal, Teamtailor.
Inferred from you
Some information is derived from how you interact with us and our services, e.g., in the form of notes from our interviews.
From other sources
We collect information from the following other sources:
- Recruitment agencies;
- Third party providers of testing (AlvaLabs);
- Third party provider of background checks (2Secure);
- Publicly available sources online, e.g., LinkedIn; and
- By reference or word of mouth.
How we share your data
We may, if necessary, to fulfil the purpose for processing the personal data, share your personal data with other legal entities within the SEB Group, including entities outside of the European Union or the European Economic Area (EU/EEA).
We may also, if necessary, to fulfil the purpose for processing the personal data and for support purposes, share your personal data with third party suppliers, including suppliers outside of EU/EEA, such as suppliers of recruitment software and background checks.
SEB will have appropriate safeguards in place to ensure adequate protection of your personal data when we share your personal data with third parties and/or countries outside of EU/EEA. For example, this includes the use of intercompany or external data processing agreements based on EU approved Standard Contractual Clauses or such other mechanisms as have been recognized or approved by the relevant authorities from time to time.
Social Media Tools
Our application process for jobs at SEB Embedded allows you to pull relevant information from social media websites (such as LinkedIn) into your application form. If you choose to feed any personal data from such social media tools, it will be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Your data protection rights
According to GDPR, you have the right to exercise control over your personal data and to obtain information about how we process your personal data. Request a register extract of personal data
You have the right to obtain information about which personal data about you that we process. You can obtain this by requesting a register extract from us. If applicable, you can request a simplified register extract using the link in the confirmation email you received when you applied for a job or connected to us through the SEB Embedded career site. If you do not have access to the link or want to order a complete register extract, you can send a written request to sebembeddedprivacy@seb.se.
Rectify inaccurate or incomplete personal data
If it turns out that we process personal data about you that is inaccurate, you have the right to request a rectification of the personal data. If you consider that the personal data we hold about you is incomplete, you have the right to request that we complete the personal data we hold about you.
Erasure of your personal data
In certain situations, you have the right to have any or all of your personal data erased. This is also referred to as the “right to be forgotten”. In certain cases we cannot erase all of your personal data, for instance to comply with mandatory law.
Object to or restrict the processing
You have the right to demand that our processing of your personal data be restricted and in other cases you may have the right to object to our processing of your personal data in whole or in part. This can pertain, for example, to where you object to processing that we base on a legitimate interest.
Transfer your personal data to another party (data portability)
If we process your personal data based on an agreement or consent, you have the right to receive the personal data that you yourself have provided to us. Where technically feasible, you also have the right to have such data transmitted to another party.
Submit an objection to the supervisory authority
If you have an objection about how we have processed your personal data, you can turn to the supervisory authority concerned. Security measures
SEB Embedded takes appropriate technical, organizational, and administrative security measures to ensure that we process your personal data correctly. As an example, we limit access to your personal data so that only those who need it have access to it.
Furthermore, SEB Embedded continuously tests and evaluates our security measures to ensure that data is correctly categorised and the controls in place are appropriate.
Overview - How we process your data and why
Purpose:
To find the right candidate for the vacant position.
Categories of personal data:
For the initial screening of you as a candidate and the first interviews we process the following categories of personal data:
• Personal Identifiers;
• Contact Information;
• Employment Information;
• Education Information; and
• Inferences drawn from interactions.
For further testing and Background Checks the following categories of personal data will be processed.
• Sensitive personal data; and
• Information from background controls.
Legal basis
SEB Embedded legitimate interest in finding the right candidate for the relevant role.
Retention period
We store the data until the recruitment process has been concluded and up to two (2) years thereafter (depending on applicable employment legislation) in case of a dispute (e.g., on grounds for discrimination). The report with background check is saved for ten (10) days.
Purpose
To evaluate and improve our recruitment process.
Categories of personal data
We will process your contact information to send out a survey to you. However, your responses will be completely anonymous.

- Your feedback provided in free text by you to us.
Legal basis
SEB Embedded legitimate interest in continuously developing our recruitment process e.g., from feedback from previous candidates. It is entirely voluntary to participate in the survey.
Retention period
We will anonymise your data immediately to use it to continuously improve how we recruit candidates to our positions.
Purpose
To keep you up to date about relevant positions with SEB Embedded.
